Open Space and Parkland
There is room to breathe at The Forthquarter. It is not simply a place to work and live, it is a place to walk, relax, play and to meet friends. An 8 hectare park runs through the whole development providing an attractive open space and water features for residents, workers and students. A long established pond continues to remind the community of the areas industrial heritage but is now home to a wide range of local wildlife.
The environmental impact has been fundamental in the design, native plants and trees have been used and the water features act as a Sustainable Urban Drainage System (SUDS).
Explore the park further and you will emerge at the waterfront promenade. Continue North West enjoying stunning views across the Forth and discover more of the areas history at Cramond– visit the Roman Fort and the River Almond.
Other local attractions and activities including Lauriston Castle and gardens, North Edinburgh Arts Centre, The Granton Centre – a major store for National Museums of Scotland with pre-bookable tours available, Silverknowes Golf Course, Sailing Clubs at Granton Harbour and Cramond are only minutes away.
