Holder awaiting decision
National Grid applied for Listed Building Consent to demolish the remaining non-operational gas holder to facilitate further development at The Forthquarter in November 2010.
This application was refused by Edinburgh City Council and National Grid appealed that decision through the Scottish Government.
The appeal hearing took place on 29th November at which the full facts were reviewed.
National Grid now awaits the outcome of the hearing and will advise of the Reporters decision once received.
The remaining holder at The Forthquarter has been subject to regular structural surveys during this protracted planning process.
