Green Light for Pedestrians at The Forthquarter
Following the completion of road works The Forthquarter development at Granton reached another milestone as it received the green light to activate a pedestrian crossing at the junction of West Granton Road and Waterfront Gait.
Developers National Grid confirmed that contractors have now completed the road surfacing and marking at this section of The Forthquarter making the area safer and more accessible for current residents and more attractive to potential home-seekers.
Residents and visitors have welcomed the crossing and expect that it will also alleviate problems caused by inconsiderate parking at the junction.
Although development is ongoing National Grid is making good progress with infrastructure works and envisage that direct access from Waterfront Gait through to Waterfront Broadway/Waterfront Avenue will be provided before the end of this year.
